Twelve Apostles is located about 220 kilometers southwest of Melbourne and is a famous landmark on Australia’s Great Ocean Road. The Great Ocean Road is known as “the most beautiful coastal road in the world”
Twelve Apostles are located on the coastline of the Great Ocean Road in Port Campbell National Park. There are 12 broken-wall rocks gradually formed by the weathering of millions of years of limestone, sandstone and fossils. The independent reefs standing in the blue ocean are different in form, because their numbers and forms resemble the twelve disciples of Jesus, hence the name “Twelve Apostles”.
